Magnetic Therapy - The pHacts Of How And Why Magnetic Therapy Works

by Bill Knight

In his book, ‘Magnotherapy the pHacts’, scientist, MVDr. Vladislav Vaclavek explains his findings on why and how magnet therapy works. The book provides a definitive explanation as to what actually happens when a magnetic field is applied to the body and offers a rationale as to why results vary from person to person. He states that the differences are due to the combining of magnetic technology with a proper pH balance in the diet.

pH (potential of) (hydrogen) is a measure of the activity of hydrogen ions (H+) in a solution, and therefore its acidity or alkalinity. The concept was introduced by S.P.L. Rensen in 1909. The p stands for the German word potenz, meaning power or concentration, and the H for the hydrogen ion (H+). Sometimes, it is referred to in Latin as pondus hydrogenii.

Basically, what this all means, is that some people will experience more of the healing powers of magnetic therapy depending on what they eat and drink. The body is designed to heal and repair itself, but to do so effectively, needs a balanced intake of food, water and oxygen. If we don’t receive these elements in the correct proportions then the body’s ability to repair itself can be severely impaired.

Indications that our bodies are not working efficiently can be measured by our lack of energy and stamina and also joint pains and injuries taking a long time to heal. These symptoms are mostly due to our bodies producing an excess of lactic acid. When a magnetic field is applied to the body, it provides an external stimulus, which reduces the level of lactic acid by restoring the body’s natural pH balance.

Another important factor in our well being, which is regularly taken for granted, is our intake of water. When you consider that our bodies are made up of around two thirds water, it is essential that we maintain the correct level of intake on a daily basis. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is around 82% and lungs 90%. Just a 2% drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration, fuzzy or short-term memory loss, trouble with basic computation, and difficulty focusing on small print, such as a news paper or computer screen.

It would appear from these ‘pHacts’, that so long as we eat a well balanced diet, which will provide us with essential nutrients and minerals. And we drink copious amounts of water on a daily basis (8 glasses are recommended). Plus, we wear magnetic devices (bracelets, bangles, necklaces etc) close to our bodies, there’s absolutely no reason why our bodily functions shouldn’t be performing at peak levels.

There’s very little doubt that magnetic therapy is good for us. It’s got to be a better alternative to medicines, pills and potions. But as always, if for any reason you’re unsure whether magnets are right for you, it’s advisable to consult your doctor. People fitted with a pacemaker should not wear a magnet. dragonstonemagnetics.com
